Shalini GovilPai is the VP and GM of TV Platforms at Google overseeing product, design and engineering teams for Android TV OS and Google TV. At Google, her leadership has led to winning strategies for distribution of streaming media including Netflix, Disney+ and HBO Max across TV and mobile device form factors.
She previously served as Senior Director at YouTube, where she led technical operations enabling growth of the business and operations by >10X. And prior to that, Shalini was Technical Director at Pixar Animation where she led efforts for the first ever CG movie Toy Story and later a Bug's Life.
Shalini is a well known thought leader and speaker on digital disruptions in production and distribution, most recently having keynoted at IBC, Googles annual hardware event and featured on NextTVs executive watchlist.
Shalini has a BS and MS in Computer Science, and was conferred Distinguished Alumni from her alma mater, IIT.
