Brett Sappington serves as Vice President of Interpret, a global market research and insights firm specializing in custom and syndicated research for the entertainment industry. With over 20 years in technology and entertainment, Brett leads the company’s global research for video entertainment, including pay TV, streaming, social video, content, and consumer devices.  He is a well-known thought leader in the video entertainment industry and a frequent speaker at top industry events. Brett has published dozens of reports on disruption in the entertainment marketplace, and regularly works with senior executives to understand consumer habits, preferences, and demand for their offerings. His current work explores consumer segmentations, emerging product/service features, the evolution of streaming services and pay TV, and the convergence of video entertainment with other media types, including gaming, Web3, and the metaverse.
 
Brett holds an MBA in from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in technology marketing and a BA in physics from Baylor University.
